Music Theatre Audition Workshops
with Katie Swimm & Jeff Kimball
Come spend the morning with director Katie Swimm and music director Jeff Kimball and “tune up” your favorite musical theatre audition cut in a supportive environment. Sign up to sing and workshop a piece or just hang out and learn. When we work on the piece we’ll focus on musical interpretation, acting the song, and what kind of show this cut might work for. We’ll also talk about ways to feel confident heading into your next audition, go over a few do’s and don’ts for audition success, and generally have a fun time!

Intro to Scene Study
with Katie Swimm
Actors will work with a variety of contemporary scenes over four weeks. This interactive course will develop skills in cold-reading, finding beats, making (bold!) choices, and listening. This workshop is appropriate for actors age 14 and up who are new to acting or who wish to “brush up” their skills!

Advanced Scene Study
with Katie Swimm
Actors will explore advanced scene work in this four week course, including period styles, advanced breath and body work, physical theatre-making, and deeper analysis of complex scenes. This workshop is appropriate for actors age 14 and up who have taken Introduction to Scene Study, or who have significant experience onstage.
