Ensemble-based theatre that inspires.
The Treehouse Collective offers educational opportunities, including classes and workshops, as part of its season. See details below!
July 24, 6:00 - 9:00pm
The Dance Complex, Cambridge, MA
This seminar will provide an opportunity for participants to learn some basic (and commonly used) hand-to-hand stage combat techniques and then apply those new moves to a short scene.
July 31 & Aug 7, 7:00 - 10:00 pm
Abbott Memorial Theatre at Hovey Players, Waltham, MA
Participants will dive into improvising songs and scenes. We'll learn about song structure and rhyming (how to make up songs that sound and feel like real songs!), connecting emotionally to character via music, and navigating from scene to song.
Aug 5, 12, 19, & 26, 7:00 - 10:00 pm
Abbott Memorial Theatre at Hovey Players, Waltham, MA
Actors will have a chance to develop or polish their skills working on contemporary scene work over four weeks. This interactive course will develop skills in cold-reading, finding beats, making (bold!) choices, and listening. The course will end with an informal final performance for friends and family.
